Leaving Behind Toxic Relationships DISCOVER IF YOU ARE A CODEPENDENT PERSON

Codependency is defined as a behavioral pattern in which a person develops an emotionally destructive and dysfunctional relationship with another person, typically a partner who requires a lot of support, as they often have substance addiction problems, suffer from mental disorders, or have unmet emotional needs.
In these types of relationships, the codependent person generates excessive dependence on the other. In their eagerness to care for and protect the other, they prioritize pleasing others at the expense of their own needs and well-being as the only way to feel valuable and receive recognition from the person they care for.

The codependent personality can manifest when you become compliant, say yes to everything, feel you need the other person at all times, need to help everyone who crosses your path, or cannot leave relationships that are toxic to you due to your fear of loneliness.
If you recognize yourself in any of these characters, do not hesitate to learn to change the patterns that will now allow you to build balanced and loving relationships in your life.
